Leaf Beet | Puro Import - 1 bunch, ca. 250g

Bietina piccola, a small leaf beet that's a close relative of chard, brought to Berlin by Puro Import. The smaller size makes it quick to cook, with no need to treat the stems separately. Sold by the bunch, so weight varies.

Mild and earthy, with a gentle sweetness, somewhere between spinach and chard. Wilt it in olive oil with garlic and chili, fold it into a frittata, or use it to fill ravioli or a savory pie with ricotta. Wash it well, keep it in the fridge and use it within a few days.
