Flavor Profile: Raspberry, apricot, herbs and white pepper, with citrus zest, red cherry and a lot of salt on the nose. Glowing garnet pink in the glass, tight and sinewy on the palate, with fleur de sel, white peach and lively acidity.

Origin: Leithaberg, Burgenland, Austria, nearly 300 meters above sea level, on slate and limestone.

Grapes: 100% Blaufränkisch, mainly from old vines.

Process: Densely planted biodynamic plots, not certified. Harvested by hand, fermented spontaneously, gently pressed and aged in large used wooden vats. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur, at 11.5% alcohol.

About the Producer: Christian Tschida is a fourth-generation grower from Illmitz who took over the family estate in 2003. Falstaff named him Winemaker of the Year 2026. He once planned to stop making rosé altogether, until someone suggested he didn't know how.

Pairing Suggestions: BBQ, fried food or a good burger. Falstaff gave this vintage 95 points, so it can carry a whole dinner.

Contains sulfites. Bottled by Christian Tschida GmbH, Seegasse 36, 7142 Illmitz, Austria.
