Fennel | Puro Import - 1 pc, ca. 500g

A fresh fennel bulb, brought to Berlin by Puro Import. A staple of the Italian winter table, crisp and pale, with feathery fronds that are worth keeping. Sold by the piece, so weight varies.

Raw, it's crunchy and sweetly aniseed. Cooked, it turns soft and mellow. Shave it thin into a salad with orange and olive oil, or roast it in wedges with parmesan until the edges brown. Chop the fronds over the top like a herb.
