Carciofi Con Gambo | I Contadini - 520g

Violet Brindisi artichokes, processed and jarred by hand within eight hours of harvest, left whole with their tender stems and kept in extra virgin olive oil. The only preservatives are natural ones: Slow Food certified sea salt, organic apple cider vinegar and organic lemon juice. I Contadini grow and jar them on their family farm in Ugento, Salento.

Tender and nutty, with a gentle tang from the vinegar. Halve them over an antipasto plate, tuck them beside burrata or a slice of prosciutto, or scatter them over a warm pizza straight out of the oven. The oil in the jar is worth saving for dressing a salad.
