The Regional Fruits & Veggies Box | Oddkin

A box of whatever is at its best right now, chosen by us from what our growers harvest that week. Mostly from Gutes aus Gretes Garten, where Grete Peschken grows old varieties in Stierow, Mecklenburg, saving her own seed, working mostly by hand and feeding the soil with manure from her own animals. Berlin chefs like Nobelhart & Schmutzig have cooked with her vegetables for years. Add a little southern sunshine from our Sicilian friends when the season allows: salad leaves, carrots, beetroot, small peppers, apples, herbs, a lemon or two.

You don’t choose what’s inside, and that’s the point. The box follows the harvest, so nothing gets picked too early or travels too far, and you get to cook with the season instead of against it. Every box is a small surprise, and a good excuse to finally try that radicchio recipe.

Pre-order at least 7 days in advance: order by Wednesday 14:00 and your box is ready on Thursday of the following week, for pickup at Danziger Straße 49 or delivery in the Ring.

Don’t want to think about it? Make it a habit: set your box to repeat every week, every two weeks or once a month, and the season comes to you on its own.
