Bianco 2024 | Samodia

€21,50
Unit price€28,67per  l

Flavor Profile: Light orange-gold in the glass, this wine opens with whispers of yellow flowers and jasmine, layered over green and white tea notes. A saline edge meets soft white peach, with herbal undertones and a finish edged with light bitters and green berry tartness.

Origin: Italy - Emilia-Romagna, Valsamoggia hills over limestone, at around 400 to 500 metres altitude.

Grapes: A wide field blend of roughly 40% Pignoletto, 20% Montuni, 15% Albana, 10% Trebbiano Modenese, 10% Trebbiano Romagnolo, and 5% Moscato.

Process: Fermented partly on the skins for four days, the rest pressed directly into concrete and amphora. Unfiltered, unfined, no additives. Minimal intervention to preserve terroir and vibrancy.

About the Producer: Jacopo Stigliano's work in the vineyards is focused on retaining the incredible diversity already present, believing this lends richness and complexity, with each variety adding harmony to the final blend. The Samodia project - run together with Flavio Restani - channels the spirit of old-school Italian vino da tavola while producing wines of genuine depth and identity. A conservation effort disguised as a wine label.

Pairing Suggestions: A food wine through and through. Try alongside fried fish, vegetable fritters, fresh pasta with herbs, or a plate of soft cheese. Serve cool, and pour freely.
