Braje - Storchi

The first wave of natural wines selected with our friend Sara from Balera Weinhandlung!

Here's a few words from her about this wine: 

I met the winemaker Storchi last fall in Berlin when he visited our shop on the occasion of a wine fair. I had the pleasure of tasting his four wines with him, and I was truly impressed by all of them—elegant, precise, and intriguing. Two Lambruschi and two aged reds, all natural and full of character.

At Christmas, while back in Italy, I enjoyed another bottle of Braje 2022 with some friends at an osteria in Ferrara. As the evening unfolded, the wine revealed its depth—an elegant, structured Bordeaux-style red aged in barrique, with a rich bouquet of ripe and dried fruits, licorice, tobacco, and spices. On the palate, it was smooth, persistent, never overly polished, and beautifully balanced. Sharing the bottle over a long dinner, letting it open up with time, and pairing it with great food and company made the experience even more special.

After that, I had no choice but to try to import these wines to Berlin—and so I did. It’s a pleasure to now share this experience with you!
